Release Valve: Sam Herlihy of Hope Of The States
Last week, Chichester post-rock indie crew Hope Of The States returned with a new single after a short 18-year break. A sprawling 11-minute opus titled Long Waits In A&E, it picks up right where they left off and they look set to summon more of the same magic on a short reunion tour in England and Scotland in December. Before that, we got frontman Sam Herlihy to answer our Release Valve queries.
The first record I loved was: Revolutions by Jean-Michel Jarre. It’s terrifying/embarrassing how much I’ve subconsciously ripped it off.
