The New Cue #533 October 1: Coach Party's Jess Eastwood
"My first faerie smut book, and I’ll never be the same"
Hello,
Welcome to a little Wednesday bonus round, as the Release Valve from Coach Party’s singer and bassist Jess Eastwood arrived just after Friday’s edition had been dispatched. But that’s OK, it means Jess and Coach Party get an edition all to themselves. Maybe that was their ploy all along?
The Isle Of Wight quartet released their second record Caramel last week, a muscular, anthemic indie-rock record full of powerhouse riffs and big, bold hooks. Have a listen whilst you read:
We’ll see you on Friday for some Recommender action, enjoy the edition.

The first record I loved was: Busted’s A Present For Everyone! This was the first record I remember having on CD, and I played it all the time. I used to have a Karaoke Machine, and I’d put that CD in it all the time and sing along.
The musician I grew up most wanting to be is: Molly Rankin from Alvvays. I was introduced to Alvvays around the age on 19, so I was late to the game, but that band means everything to me. I knew I always wanted to perform and play, but Molly Rankin made me believe I could do it, and every time I’d listen to Alvvays, I’d have such a hunger for creativity.
My fantasy band would feature: Me, Molly Rankin, Miley Cyrus, DJO, Kevin Parker. All the artists above have significant eras in my life that I can pick out and remember fondly. I think being in a band with them and travelling around the world would give me enough time to tell them all how much I love their music.
